Description

This is a Fan-Made and Unofficial Codex created by me, therefore anything written here is not to be considered canon of the Warhammer 40,000 franchise and it is in no way endorsed by Games Workshop. The creation of this Codex was merely a fun project which would introduce you to a "new" alien race with its own background, rules and feel. Enjoy reading.

Now, apparently Scribd no longer makes their website free, meaning that you need a "Premium Membership" to view a document fully or download it and the creator of the document cannot do anything about it. To this reason I have decided to upload the entirety of this Codex right here on deviantART for all to see.

About the Codex itself, the Virion race has a bit of "history" behind them. You see when I was 10/11 years old, I was working on something silly called "Complete Annihilation" (which was updated over time and changed almost entirely). Over the years, "Complete Annihilation" was renamed to "MECHAROK". The point being, the Virions were a major race that played part in Complete Annihilation, but when the idea made a major transition and became MECHAROK, the Virion race no longer fitted in. Instead of wasting a good idea I was spending a whole lot of time on, I have decided to "move" the Virion race from their original setting and make them a fan-made army for my favorite sci-fi universe, "Warhammer 40,000" (or just "40k"). Eventually I had decided to make a Codex, and let's just say the first try was half-assed at best. Then 6th Edition came and I decided to make a new Virion Codex form scratch. After months of writing and gathering ideas I hereby present to you the latest edition of the Virion Codex. Enjoy the read.

Note, the Virions Codex is still a "Work In Progress" (or "WIP" for short) because it is lacking in images. However, I do have a Bamboo Drawing Tablet handy, but I am still in the "doodling phase". So expect to see a bunch of new images added to the Codex by the end of summer. On a side note I also need to gather some attention for the Codex and have people take a liking to it. Feedback is what I need the most, for without it I do not know if there are any flaws in the Codex, if I am lacking in some aspects or if I added a bit too much. Hopefully, if the Virions gain sufficient popularity I might have some people craft Virion models for me.

Also, the cover art was made by :iconbeckjann: so kudos to him.

So all in all, I hope you readers and respected artists have fun while reading this Codex. And feel free to leave your thoughts, suggestions, ideas and even constructive criticism in the comment section below.
